How it works
Connect your Storage Box
Sign in with your alldrive account, or straight with the Storage Box username and password. The password is used once to install a key, then forgotten.
Pick your folders
Desktop, Documents and Pictures are one click each. Add any other folder too. Changes upload within seconds.
Sign in on your other computers
Each computer gets the same folders with the same files. Edit anywhere and every computer follows.

When the same file changes in two places
alldrive never overwrites your work. If sample.png changed on two computers before they
synced, both are kept: one stays sample.png, the other becomes
sample (LAPTOP).png, and the app tells you.
Edits beat deletes, so a file edited on one computer and deleted on another comes back. Deleted files stay in your Storage Box for 30 days.

Straight to your box
File contents go directly from your computer to your Storage Box over SFTP. They never pass through alldrive.pro.
A key per computer
Every computer gets its own SSH key. Sign one out and its key is removed from the box.
Stored once
Identical files are stored once and moves never upload again, so your box space goes further.

What is a Hetzner Storage Box?
Low-cost online storage from Hetzner, from 1 TB upwards. Order one at hetzner.com, then turn on SSH support in its settings so alldrive can connect.
Can I keep using the box for other things?
Yes. alldrive only writes inside an alldrive folder. For extra safety, create a sub-account in
the Hetzner console and sign in with that.
What if alldrive.pro is down?
Your files stay on your computers and your box. Changes wait and sync when it is back, and the direct mode never needs alldrive.pro at all.
Which computers are supported?
Windows 10 and 11, and macOS 12 or newer.
